    Howdy financial aid friends!

Mizzou has an awesome opening for a Senior Assistant Director-Advising to serve as part of our fervent office leadership team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our extraordinary advising team.  Job responsibilities include clarifying the financial aid process to current and prospective students in a productive way, resolving issues where students may be confused with a complex federal, state or institutional policy, while also ensuring that students, faculty, and staff use the term FAFSA not FASFA.  This crusader of a position is responsible for developing, maintaining, debating, and explaining all policies and procedures created by our dedicated staff and those catalogued in the FSA handbook for Pell, R2T4, SAP, TEACH, Verification, and other requirements that have not been created or possibly thought of yet.  In addition to a skillset, that closely mirrors the complete knowledge base of AskRegs, an understanding of the guiding principles of customer service and a firm understanding of how to manage difficult conversations is helpful.  This candidate must also have resilient leadership skills to supervise a marvelous troupe of professional staff devoted to serving students.  The position is located in Columbia, Missouri which Southern Living magazine named one of the South’s best college towns.
