    Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) invites applications for an Enrollment Services Center Coordinator for Financial Aid. This position will:

    Provide student-focused advising in the financial aid areas of application, income and tax verification, aid program awarding, scholarships, student loans, eligibility requirements and program reconciliation
    Maintain current student records by updating student data in the IPFW computer student system; verify student information in IU, Purdue and IPFW systems
    Review applicant files and perform needs analysis, utilizing a formula consistent with federal regulations to evaluate the level and type of financial aid programs that can be offered
    Advise students and families on budgeting and debt management and the university billing and payment processes; focusing on ways to meet expenses associated with attending IPFW
    Assist students with credit hour changes that affect their financial aid eligibility; adjust aid packages throughout the academic year as necessary
    Assist in the development and review of aid processing procedures, awarding policies and other compliance related activities
    Make occasional presentations to university or high school groups requiring occasional travel and evening and/or weekend hours
    Complete additional tasks as assigned



    Qualifications:
    Required:
    High school diploma or equivalent
    Four years experience in financial aid, student services, or other secondary or higher education institution
    Must be detail oriented with effective organizational and verbal/written communication skills
    Ability to provide excellent customer service
    Effectiveness in asking sensitive probing questions in order to ascertain student/parental need essential
    Ability to interact and communicate with diverse students, parents, and guests


    Preferred:
    Associate's degree
    Understanding of basic (or higher) financial aid information
    Ability to speak Spanish
