We’ll be discussing the book in advance of the conference, as Dr. Keyimani Alford will be leading a dedicated session on it during the event.

Mission Statement: As leaders of the financial aid community, it is our goal and duty to help students obtain access to a college education and achieve their educational goals. By expanding our understanding of diverse groups, book club members will strive to think critically and inclusively to inform decision-making, the populations we serve, and our communities at-large.

MASFAA’s Equality Talk is designed to:

Expand participants’ awareness and appreciation of diversity
Promote open and extended discussion of inclusion and equity issues
Provide a safe setting to be vulnerable as we expand our knowledge of critical issues
Connect and enhance the feeling of community within the organization
