Welcome from MASFAA President, Betsy Johnson

As I reflect on this past year, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to serve as MASFAA President. It has truly been an honor to represent this incredible association and to work alongside so many dedicated colleagues across our nine states.

I am so proud of what we have accomplished together. From new training opportunities like Mini-MASFAA, to the continued success of Summer Institute and Leadership Symposium, to the important work of the Finance Task Force and so many other initiatives that strengthen our profession. None of this would have been possible without the tireless commitment of our board members, committee chairs, and volunteers. Your time, talent, and passion have made this year one of progress, resilience, and connection.

I look forward to seeing many of you later this month at our Annual Conference in St. Charles. It will be a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate all that we’ve achieved together. Be sure to look for my final newsletter article in November, where I will highlight the board and committee work from throughout the year and celebrate our 2025 MASFAA Award winners to be announced at the conference.

Thank you for the privilege of serving as your President. This association is special because of all of you, and I am deeply grateful to have had the chance to lead and learn alongside such remarkable colleagues.
