There's never been a better time to serve MASFAA than now!

Committees are not only an excellent way to help the association grow, involvement may help you find your next mentor, improve as a leader and team member, and get that warm fuzzy feeling of helping others.

Not sure what committee may be the right fit for you? Read about each, their commitments and reach out to the Chair(s) listed if you have further questions.

Thank you for your involvement in MASFAA! Our association wouldn't be the same without you!

Our live, online discussion for this book will be held on

    Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 at 11am (CST)

Mission Statement: As leaders of the financial aid community, it is our goal and duty to help students obtain access to a college education and achieve their educational goals. By expanding our understanding of diverse groups, book club members will strive to think critically and inclusively to inform decision-making, the populations we serve, and our communities at-large.

MASFAA’s Equality Talk is designed to

    • Expand participants’ awareness and appreciation of diversity
    • Promote open and extended discussion of inclusion and equity issues
    • Provide a safe setting to be vulnerable as we expand our knowledge of critical issues
    • Connect and enhance the feeling of community within the organization

Join MASFAA's book club and converse on these important topics with your Midwest colleagues. Check out the Equality Talk Book Club page here.

Prioritizing employee well-being programs is critical in curbing burnout, but you may be missing the main driving force behind burnout. Burnout isn’t an individual challenge or inability to cope; burnout is a systemic problem at every level – team leader to top leadership. Burnout isn’t inevitable; it’s a decision. And, fixing it is your organization’s competitive advantage in retaining employees and unleashing their best every day.

      In this session, we will

      • Take a look at what burnout is and how it’s impacting your workforce
      • Learn why we may be blind to burnout in the work environment
      • Share strategies on what leadership, management, and individuals can do to address the work-related stressors of burnout
         o   Unclear communication
o   Lack of clarity around expectations
o   Culture of urgency and overload
o   And a reduced sense of belonging and connection
